Counterfeit Mitigation

Non-authentic, counterfeit, product within the supply chain is the most serious problem facing any product or assembly that includes electronic components. Of particular concern and susceptibility are legacy defense programs that are reliant on obsolete electronic components no longer available in the supply chain.Harry Krantz Company is an ISO 9001-2008, AS9120A certified company. As a longstanding leader in electronic component distribution with the largest inventory of military electronic components, we employ the most stringent quality control processes that are compliant to the most up-to-date standards as established by the guiding industry associations.

Our Quality System is certified to the AS6081 standard through an ANAB accredited certification body. AS6081 requires that we adhere to a strict flow down of all customer requirements on every single order and that all of our product is acquired from our rigorously maintained approved vendor list (AVL)

Every component that ships from our facility is subject to a complete inspection by trained and certified technician. At any point in the process, a component that is indicative of being suspect counterfeit or has any non-conformity is immediately pulled from the process flow and held in a secure non-conforming area. Within our facility we have onsite capabilities of: real time, comparative X-ray, Decapsulation, 400X magnification, XRF material analysis, and heated solvent (Dynasolve) testing. All customer required internal testing, is reviewed and signed off by our Director of Quality Control. Upon customer request, additional testing will be performed by an independent test facility.

Any product determined to be suspect counterfeit remains in quarantine and is not returned to the supply chain. Appropriate notification is made to the appropriate governing bodies including: GIDEP, ERAI and law enforcement.
