Is it for real? Dealing with authenticity issues

Non-authentic, or counterfeit, product is a serious problem and deserves a serious response. We’re up to the task. An important aspect of dealing with non-authentic inventory is acknowledging that sometimes, bad parts come from good vendors. While Harry Krantz Company maintains a tightly controlled pre-qualified, audited vendor list consistent with our ISO standards, each incoming and outgoing part is qualified in accordance with our rigorous inspection procedures and to the customer’s and manufacturer’s specifications.

One of our most critical defenses against non-authentic inventory is communication. We maintain open, frequent and direct dialogue with customers to fully comprehend their quality standards and provide them with the information they need to make decisions that are best suited to their business needs.

Here are just some of the ways we defend against compromised product:

  • High standards for all vendors on our pre-qualified list, including financial stability
  • 30-point standard incoming and outbound part inspection procedure
  • All parts are qualified without exception
  • Open communications with customers to understand critical requirements, including their particular risk tolerance
  • Internal testing resources or, when needed, external testing sources for additional qualifications
